Meet Jess

Jessica is a floral designer, artist, and the creative director of The Anthophile. After developing a micro flower farm, falling in love with growing flowers and using her experience of over 20 years in the wedding industry as a full-time photographer, she founded The Anthophile.

The perennial complaint Jessica heard from her brides as their photographer, was that their bouquet was far too heavy and uncomfortable. She found Brides didn’t want to hold the bouquet and the flowers didn’t serve their purpose as intended. With that knowledge, Jessica is mindful to create bouquets that are both impactful, while being lightweight, bouncy and manageable.

As a long time gardener, Jessica is known for creating natural installations with flowers and plant materials that look like they might have organically grown in the environment surrounding your venue. With an emphasis on form and movement, her desire is to create unique, inspired, visually rich experiences for you and your guests to enjoy

The majority of the flowers seen in her arrangements are grown on the micro farm, making them the freshest flowers, void of pesticides, and most sustainable options. In addition, because our flowers are grown from seed, we have the opportunity to grow unique color pallets that cannot be found at local suppliers.

Jessica prides herself on foam-free practices and using sustainable resources for her designs so that you can enjoy your flowers knowing they are not contributing any unnecessary waste.
